From product link to video ad: how to turn a product page into a short video ad
Updated 2026-10-09 · Alvin's Club Studio
A step-by-step guide to turning a product page link into a short vertical video ad: what the page already gives you, what the ad needs, how to test versions, and what it costs.
Key points
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| What you need | A product page link, or 1-3 product photos and the product name. |
| What you get | A 9:16 video ad with an AI model, voiceover, caption and hashtags, in about 10 minutes. |
| Lengths and price | 8, 12 or 15 seconds: 3, 4 or 5 credits; 1 credit = $1, less in credit packs. |
| Using it in ads | Videos you pay for can be used in ads and posts; review each one first. |
| Testing | Make several versions per product; each new version is a new video at the normal price. |
| Failed videos | Scripts we stop in review and videos that fail to generate are free. |
The short answer
Your product page already holds most of what a short video ad needs: the product's name, photos, materials, sizes, price and the reasons people buy it. Paste that link into a product video studio and it can turn the page into a vertical video ad: an AI model wearing or using the product in a real-looking setting, a script with a hook and a call to action, a voiceover, and a caption with hashtags. With Alvin's Club Studio that takes about 10 minutes and costs 3 credits ($3) for 8 seconds, 4 for 12 and 5 for 15, less in credit packs. Your first video is free: 8 seconds, small watermark, email only, no card.
What a product page already gives you
Before writing a single line of script, look at what your listing already says. A good product page answers most of the questions an ad has to answer:
- What it is: the product name and category tell the viewer what they are looking at.
- What it looks like: the photos show the color, the print, the shape and the parts.
- What it's made of: material and construction are often the selling point for clothing, jewelry and furniture.
- Who it's for and when: the description usually names an occasion, a room or a style.
- Why people buy it: reviews and bullet points show which benefits buyers care about.
An ad built from the page also stays honest. If the video only says what the listing says, the buyer who taps through finds the same product they saw, which is good for conversion and for returns.
Which links work
We read Shopify and most online stores, plus Amazon (US/Canada), Etsy, Walmart (US), eBay (US), AliExpress, Temu, TikTok Shop (US), SHEIN (US), Shopee (Thailand/Brazil) and Lazada (Indonesia). If a page can't be read, upload product photos and a name instead. Supplier pages work too, which is useful for dropshippers who never hold the product; our guide on AI video ads for dropshipping covers that case.
The self-serve studio makes videos for clothing, personalized jewelry (names, initials, dates, birthstones) and home goods: furniture, bedding, decor and bath. Bedding, decor and bath are made from your product page plus an English TikTok video showing the same product. Not lamps or rugs. Other categories can be made by our team, done for you.
Step by step: from link to ad
- Choose the product. Pick a product with a clear selling point and a product page with clear photos of the product on its own, in its true color, ideally from more than one angle.
- Paste the link. The studio reads the product, writes the script and casts an AI model. You can pick a model yourself, add yourself as your own model once (10 credits), or let the studio choose.
- Pick a length. Eight seconds suits a single hook and one selling point. Twelve or 15 seconds leave room for a second point, a styling idea or a close look at a detail.
- Get the video. In about 10 minutes you get a vertical 9:16 video with a voiceover, plus a caption and hashtags as editable text. Self-serve videos come without text in the frame, so add any on-screen offer in your ad tool if you need one.
- Review it against your listing. Check color, print, logo, shape and parts. We make every effort to keep your product consistent with your photos. AI video can still slip, so check each video before you post it.
- Upload it as an ad or a post. The videos you pay for can be used to market your products, in ads and posts. Label it as AI-generated where the platform asks.
If you already have a TikTok video of a home product that works, you can also remake it: the same moves and pacing with your product and your AI model, none of the original footage, audio or words. A remake costs 1 credit more than a regular video (4 credits for 8 seconds).
What makes a short video ad work
- The first two seconds decide whether anyone sees the rest. Open on a wish, a problem or the product in motion, not on a logo.
- Show it in use. A dress moving as someone walks, a name necklace catching the light, a chair being sat in: this is what a photo can't do.
- One message per ad. If you have three selling points, make three ads and see which one people respond to.
- A natural voice. A voiceover that sounds like a person telling a friend about the product reads less like an ad than a list of features.
- A clear next step that matches where the viewer lands: the product page, the size guide, the personalization form.
- Honest claims. Keep to what your product page says, and don't present an AI model as a real customer giving a personal review.
For clothing in particular, our guide on making product videos without a photoshoot goes deeper into what a fashion video needs.
Test versions, not one perfect ad
Ads tire. A video that works this week may stop working once the same people have seen it a few times, and it is hard to know in advance which hook or scene will find buyers. That is why it pays to make several versions per product and let the results decide.
From a finished video's page you can choose Make another like this, Change scene or Try another angle: we keep the product and settings, apply your change and make a new video. Each new version is a new video, charged at the normal price. A finished video can't be edited in place.
A simple routine: make three short versions of one product with different hooks, run them side by side with a small budget, keep the one that gets the most product page visits or orders, and make new versions of that one when it starts to tire.
What it costs
You pay per video. An 8-second video is 3 credits, 12 seconds is 4 and 15 seconds is 5; 1 credit is $1. Credit packs add bonus credits: Starter is $10 for 10 credits, Popular $30 for 36, Pro $60 for 78 and Studio $150 for 210, about $2.14 per 8-second video. Your first purchase gets +10% credits on top. Credits never expire and are non-refundable, and there is no subscription.
You pay for every video we generate. Scripts we stop in review and videos that fail to generate are free. That includes new versions and edits, even if you'd like changes. See the full price list on our pricing page, or our guide to AI product video cost per video for worked examples.
Where the ad goes next
Download the video and upload it to your ad account, or post it as organic content first and boost the posts that do well. From our side, posting works through assistants today: post to Instagram through Meta Muse and to LinkedIn with our connector. TikTok and YouTube are coming. You can make videos on the website or from Meta Muse, ChatGPT, Claude or Codex CLI.
If you would rather not run ads and tests yourself, our team can do it. Done for you, our team picks products, makes and posts the videos and tracks sales, paid by results: a very low basic production cost per successful video, plus commission (CPS) on sales. Advertising media spend is the merchant's, and we don't promise a sales volume or ROAS. See done for you.
